On April 24, the IE Foundation celebrated its Opening of IE Arts and Humanities Week. The event revolves around the foundation’s focus on art, and the event is doing so through collaboration with artists from the Festival Urbano de Arte Digital de Madrid (MMMAD). The Foundation invited a panel of three different artists to come and talk.
Between February 22 and 26, art enthusiasts and collectors from around the world came to Madrid for the 42nd edition of ARCO, the Madrid International Contemporary Art Fair. The event is one of the most prominent contemporary art fairs in Spain and has been showcasing cutting-edge works of art since its opening in 1982.
It is a new facet of Madrid that I have never experienced, but now want to take it upon myself to be more aware and educate myself on how to create a more inclusive Madrid for anyone and everyone. I still hold the belief that Madrid is the best city to live in, but with the understanding that it has a long road ahead to reach its potential to be liveable for all.
